Gist’s mom came up to stay with us last night and spent the day with us. It was more helpful than I could have imagined – it took our minds off of what had happened, it allowed me to go and knit and stopped us from spending the day stewing and asking “why?”

I am a thirtysomething amateur. Amateur what? Cook, photographer, knitter, home-economist, yogi, and writer. I live north of Boston in Lowell, MA.
