A bridge moving! On a crane!
The bridge was a part of the reconstruction of the Hamilton Canal District. The Hamilton Canal District is a new neighborhood that’s being created in Lowell out of old abandoned mills and vacant lots. This particular area use to look like this:

Where did they drop the bridge? Isn’t the transformation on Jackson Street amazing?

It’s on the dead-end section of Jackson. They are going to take it apart and ship it back to the bridge company. That area looks amazing, I never get down there and I couldn’t believe the progress.
