Western MA MontageGist and I decided to take Steph to Western MA today – the only place in Massachsetts she hasn’t visited. Okay, that’s an exaggeration but not much of one. Of course we also gave Jeremy a call so we could all hang out. We had a nice (but busy) day. We started with breakfast at The Stables in Hadley – yum! Then we picked up Jeremy and headed off the Chesterfield Gorge.

The Chesterfield Gorge is a lovely place. We walked around, sat on some rocks and enjoyed the peaceful sounds of running water.

Then we headed off to Northampton. We walked around, did a little window-shopping and ate lunch at Paul and Elizabeth’s – yum! Then we headed to Skinner State Park to look at the view. It was weirdly foggy and gray at the top of the mountian. We couldn’t see very far – neither Springfield or Hartford – but we did see some parachuters. We also saw some early foliage – yikes!

Then we went to Atkins Farms for some cider donuts – yum, yum, yummy!  We dropped Jeremy off, went to Amherst and the Black Sheep and headed home.  It was a fun but long day!
