I loved this book. I love Sally Mann’s photographs and while I don’t think that this book is a representation of her or her children, it brought up issues that I’ve often thought about when looking at her work. Dani Shapiro did a great job of making me see things through Clara’s eyes while still understanding her mother, Ruth, and her motivation.
