Day 22 - Friday, November 10th 2006
A foliage picture from last year for your viewing pleasure.

Friday, yay! While I was looking for a picture for this post I realized that at this time last year I was taking Thanksgiving week off – lucky me! This year I am not so lucky, I am just taking Wednesday off. I still can’t believe it is already Thanksgiving – it seems like it should still be September or October!

I have to work tomorrow – boo – but afterwards Katy and I are going to do some knitting to make up for it. I am hoping to cast on my new, bought-in-PA, just lovely Claudia Handpainted Silk Lace in Teal Party (that links to Yarns Unlimited in Sewickley, PA where I bought the yarn – it is such a lovely shop, if you’re ever in the Pittsburgh area GO!) but I don’t yet know what the yarn wants to be. I have already tried Juno Regina (I think a solid would work better), and Muse (drove me crazy – I don’t think the yarn suits it) and I think I am going to try the Gothic Leaf Stole next. I hope that works out!

I also need to get cracking on my scarf and hat to match my winter coat because it’s about to get cold! I am using Bobby Blue Malabrigo yarn for both. The hat will be Foliage and the scarf will be Lopi Lace from Weekend Knitting. I think the whole set will look really nice with my pin and coat. And maybe, if I don’t get distracted, I can knit some thrummed mittens using Bobby Blue Malabrigo and red roving.
