Day 4/366 – Lovin’ the fiddy!

Day 4 - January 4th 2007
I love the new lens! They don’t call it the “nifty fifty” for nothing. I haven’t had a chance to really play with it yet but I did take a few minutes to take some (okay a lot) pictures of Sebb this morning before work. Wow! The light wasn’t great but the lens is so fast it didn’t matter. The shots were crisp in the right places and bokeh-licious in the right places. I think it’s love!

In other good news I also got some macro filters for my other lens (Canon EF-S 18-55m f/3.5-5.6 -it doesn’t have a fancy name as far as I know), some clamp lamps from Home Depot to illuminate my light tent, the new Radiohead CD, and Cat Bordhi’s New Pathways for Sock Knitters (it’s blowing my mind – seriously, it’s genius). The only bad news – I got my boots and they don’t fit. Will I ever find a cute, black and (most importantly) warm pair of work-appropriate, non-clodhopper (I love my Bean boots but…) winter boots? Does anyone have any suggestions?

  1. Found you via the Project 365 tag and just had to say: Prime Lenses are the best! 🙂 Especially the “nifty fifty.” Have fun with it!

  2. Those are some gorgeous pictures you’ve got with your fancy new lens 😀
