CT Sheep & Wool (and a birthday FO)

Day 117 - Saturday, April 26th 2008
Amanda, Yovani and I headed down to the Quiet Corner for CT Sheep and Wool on Saturday. It was a lovely festival but I was surprised at how small it was. I was amazing at sticking to my yarn diet – I didn’t buy a single skein of yarn (I did, however, get some cards for when I can buy again). Not only did I not buy yarn, I didn’t buy any bags (although I was tempted and had Yovani and Amanda whispering that I was on a yarn diet not a bag diet). Amazing – I went to take pictures and pictures were what I brought home!

There were cute alpacas (all alpacas are cute)…
Alpaca

And lots of sheep…
More sheep...

Some of whom were going to be sheared right before our eyes…
Yet another sheep...

And sheep dogs (must get a sheep dog)…
Hey puppy!

And lots of moving in herds (they really do just follow each other around like, well, like sheep)…
Sheep

And some awesome cutouts…
Yovani says

Because everyone loves cutouts…
Alpaca Amanda

Well, we certainly love cutouts…
Me as a llama

There was fleece and spinning wheels…
Roving

And one of us went home with her first wheel. And has already spun two skeins of yarn!
Someone bought her first spinning wheel today...

And now for the FO…

Day 116 - Friday, April 25th 2008 - Finished!
Yes, Gist will finally get her wristers!
