Hi my name is Marianne Gries, welcome to Art is the Handmaid of Human Good. I use this space to write about and share pictures of things that interest me. That includes my life in Lowell, my adventures in car-lite living, the food I cook and eat, my dogs, home improvement projects, vacations, knitting, and interesting things and places I see and visit. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. So did I! I’ve been pumped all day. It’s funny how much it has brought my neighborhood together. Everyone was so smiling and friendly today. It makes me so hopeful that change really is coming!

  2. It’s been so long since I’ve seen a MA ballot, I forgot what it looked like. The year I turned 18 was a presidental election year. RI’s ballot is super easy, too. Connect an arrow with a black marker. I almost took a photo while I was voting, but figured the old folks might have an issue with it. I voted for the same guy as you.
