Spring in the Public Garden

Headed into Boston on a beautiful spring day to celebrate Gist’s birthday.

Day 127 - Sunday, May 6th 2012

Learned how to make cheese and crochet at the Mill City Skill Share.

Day 129 - Tuesday, May 8th 2012

Got a new ride.

Franklin Court Community Garden Bed Building & Mill City Grows Urban Gardening Workshop

Day 137 - Wednesday, May 16th 2012

Built raised beds and attended a Mill City Grows urban gardening workshop at the Franklin Court Community Garden.

Planted my balcony garden – the fellas approve. This year I am growing tomatoes, squash, cukes, ground cherries (or cherry berries, as Gist calls them,) strawberries, a bunch of herbs, and lettuce.

Hawk Valley Farm

Walked in the woods.

Day 145 - Thursday, May 24th 2012

Went to an interesting lecture by Dennis Lehane and supported my favorite place at the same time.

The only not-so-fun part of my month: Henrietta’s getting a new wheel and it is taking forever. I am missing her so much!
